Calling all intermediate skiers and boarders. We have five words for you: wide, well-groomed red runs. Sound like your kind of thing? Of course it does.
Katschberg sits at an altitude of 1,640m and offers 60km of skiing right up to 2,220m. Snow conditions are often good throughout the season, but if it needs a bit of topping up, the resort’s modern snowmaking equipment ensures tip top slopes.
Fun fact, the resort is located on the border between two provinces, Salzburg and Carinthia, giving you the best of both worlds. If you’re a snowboarder, you could even say ‘boarders on borders’ – sorry, we couldn’t resist!
Skiing or snowboarding not your thing? There’s plenty to keep you entertained off the slopes too. Think ice-skating, indoor swimming, tennis, curling, tobogganing and sleigh rides. It’s also a great base for exploring the local region, with popular ski areas like Bad Kleinkirchheim and Obertauern just down the valley.
Our score is based on resort data; it reflects current forecasts, not guaranteed snow quality, and applies to the ski area, not specific resorts. Conditions can change quickly.
