Welcome to Tignes Ski Resort

  • Perfect for all abilities.
  • Huge, snow-sure ski area
  • Lively slopeside après and nightlife
Once overshadowed by its neighbour, Val d’Isère, Tignes ski resort has fast become one of the most lively spots in the French Alps.
Tignes skiing is fantastic—famous for epic freeriding, excellent beginner slopes, and some of the liveliest après bars in France.
Tignes ski trips offer access to the 300km Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area, with the Grande Motte lift ascending to 3,400m. This ensures snow conditions are among the most reliable in the Alps; think untracked off-piste and steep, soft turns between trees...
Well, with all this, it's no wonder Tignes ski holidays are so popular.

Best time to ski in Tignes

It pays to know the best time to ski in Tignes. If you’re desperate for early-season snow, then skiing Tignes in December is ideal. If you’re lucky you’ll get huge dumps of snow.
For quiet slopes, January is the one. Those wanting the best snow conditions in Tignes should aim for February, but it’ll be busier in the February half-term.
And for sunshine skiing, the best bet is to go on a ski holiday to Tignes in March or April.

Snow conditions in Tignes

Tignes snow conditions are some of France’s best. Think big glacial skiing and high-altitude dumps of snow. It’s snow-sure and offers one of the longest seasons in France - opening at the end of November and continuing through to early May.
The snow falls the thickest throughout January and February but with its high altitude, it’s no stranger to both early and late dumps of snow.
